Allergy Avoidance Tips from Cinergy Health

July 14, 2010

If you have allergies, this is definitely the season for your discomfort. There are, however, ways to make yourself more comfortable and to avoid the dreaded allergy issues that plague so many people. Here, Cinergy Health offers a few key ways to change your behavior to limit your exposure to pollen and allergens.

Make sure to avoid being outside for extended amounts of time from 5-10 am. The best times to enjoy the great outdoors are after the rain. Pollens can easily be carried indoors with you, and continue bothering you even if you’ve kept to your home. For this reason, make sure to wash your hands often.

Sunglasses are also great for reducing the pollen that gets into your eyes. You can also use saline rinses and artificial tears to relieve itchiness.
