Keeping a Healthy Back with Cinergy Health
July 7, 2010As anyone who sits at work for long stretches can tell you, the position in which you sit is vital for a healthy back. When you slouch or slump, it places stress on your neck, arms, legs, back muscles, spinal ligaments and spinal discs. Cinergy Health shares a few suggestions from the American Academy of Physicians to keep your back healthy at all times.
Make sure to select a chair with a straight back or with low-back support. If your chair doesn’t have lower back support, place a rolled towel or small pillow behind your back. Your feet should be flat on the floor while sitting and your knees should be a small amount higher than your hips.
Finally, keep your head held high while typing or working and don’t move your head towards the computer screen.
